Says to use a .44 magnum carbide die.. and a few other steps but...

.35 Remington torso size is .4574
    .308 is .4709
    .300 Savage is .471 (bummer.)

So squeezing down .4709 to .4574....

TONS of work to practise this!! Even the primer pocket has to be swedged a bit as information technology is compressed..

Seems to work with whatsoever .30-03 descendant (.30-06, .308, etc).

    From another thread...

I found an old thirty-06 sizing die that was surplus, then I cut the top off just inside of the shoulder. I use this first step with half a die to size, 308 or xxx-06, closer to the 35 Rem. The process is every bit follows

    1 anneal the 30-06 brass.
1.2 cutting the 30-06 shorter to almost ii inches
ii make sure the case is well lubed!
3 used the press and a lesser punch, button the 30-06 case into the cut full sizing die until it measures the correct head diameter for 35 rem.
3.2 Lock the lock ring on the sizing dice, and then each case after is only pushed to a full stroke.
iv knock the reduced 30-06 example out from the top with a punch.
5 re size the primer flash hole
half-dozen anneal and lube the resized xxx-06 cases.
7 swap the sizing die for 35 Remington.
8 full size the resized 30-06 cases to 35 Remington.
ix ream out the primer pocket.
    10 trim it to length
step eleven will be to recut the extraction groove I hope to do this on a lathe. I all the same need to ready my lathe into the basement workshop.

Thank you for drawing my attending to the neck wall thickness, yep it measures .017 or the resized 30-06 case. I will too pay close attention to the neck wall thickness, I've ordered a reamer for this, cheers.

I recollect I'll only continue looking for brass. I have now over lxxx pieces plus twenty loaded rounds and 300 slugs.

Is the rim slightly rebated on the .35 Rem? Seems similar in my dusty old retentivity, that I recall that? Could exist wrong...

I dig these projects even if they don't necessarily make sense. I formed some 6.v creedmoor from 243 brass only to see if I could. Yep, it's not hard to find creedmoor brass but I like to know you tin can make if you demand to. You've given me ane more reason to become the 35 rem lever I always wanted

30.06. I have more than 06 brass than I can utilise in two life times. In the old days all my friends shot the 06 and I was the only one who loaded so all that brass came my style.
